3/LER
Why the Goldback 3 Limited Early Release is a Big Deal
The Goldback 3 is the latest innovation in fine gold currency design — and it's already making waves among collectors. With as low as 3000 Limited Early Release (LER) notes released per state the GB 3 is poised to become one of the most sought-after limited releases in Goldback history.
A Smaller Denomination, A Historic First
Struck with 3/1,000th of a troy ounce of 24k gold, the Goldback 3 introduces a new denomination that fills a unique spot in the series lineup. Its smaller format showcases precise artwork and cutting-edge technology, offering collectors something entirely new and original.
Limited to as low as 3000 Graded Notes per State
This is a true limited-edition launch. Each Goldback state, even the early Goldback states, will receive a LER. These pieces will be among the first ever produced and professionally graded, adding instant rarity and collector value. The Florida release started the LERs, but it was a 1/1000th note not a 3/1000th (see the next section for an explanation). Starting with Oklahoma, each new state received a 3 Note LER. Arizona has a LER and California and Utah will get a LER in July. It is expected that Nevada will get a LER in the 4th Quarter and Colorado in 2027.
- Collectors: Secure a first-run Goldback 3 graded note before the release sells out.
- State Pride: Each state design features original artwork unique to its heritage and values.
- Limited Edition:As low as 3000 graded per state — never to be produced again in this exact form.
Why It Matters
The Goldback LER is more than a new denomination — it marks a major milestone in the evolution of modern gold notes. With state-specific artwork, a limited mintage, and official grading, these notes are positioned to become instant classics among enthusiasts of fine gold and liberty-inspired design.
Whether you're an experienced collector or someone looking to acquire a rare and beautiful gold artifact, the Goldback 3 offers a unique opportunity you won’t want to miss.

How is the Florida 1 Tranquilitas Goldback a LER?
The idea of a strictly Limited Edition Release (LER) was started with the Florida Goldback release in 2025. It was felt that the Goldback collectors would want a professionally graded note that was limited to just a few thousand. The Florida 1 Tranquilitas was created. Two notes with the same denomination were found to be confusing. It also was hard to explain why the Tranquilitas had a much higher value than the Harmonia, even though both were of the same denomination. So, the next state Goldback of Oklahoma resolved this confusion by creating a whole new denomination, the 3/1000th note.
